I have a beautiful new kit in the store at Scraps N Pieces today that I am so excited to share with you, and best of all it’s 40% off the introductory week! I had so much fun making this kit and I absolutely love the layouts my CT made with this kit. I began it as a Christmas kit but it morphed into more of a general winter kit, although there are a few Christmasy papers and elements in there still that you can use to scrap any photos from the holiday that you still have!
This kit is full of fun and bright elements and papers that will give your layout a really fun and festive appearance and bring some beautiful colors to this time of year. This kit includes 18 papers, 6 glitter sheets, 6 solids, and 69 elements. Also be sure to grab the alpha freebie at the bottom of this post 🙂

I want to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone and as a special gift, I have a pretty manger scene add on to go with my new kit Christmas Traditions, also be watching my Facebook page as I will be posting a fun and bright Christmas kit mini there, hopefully sometime this weekend. I’m scrambling to finish it as fast as I can! 🙂 We’ve been so busy writing letters to Santa and playing in the snow that finally came down today. I took the girls out on a quick sled ride and they had such a wonderful time! We also started making our gifts for family and friends this evening, I guess better late than never. I’m really excited with how they are turning out so far and have been taking lots of pics so I can post instructions after we give them away. I don’t want to spoil the surprise for those special grandmas out there who might see this post!
To start with, be sure to check out these festive kits I have in the Super Saturday sale bin at Scraps N Pieces including Christmas Traditions which matches today’s freebie add on at the bottom of this post!

Also be sure to keep a close eye on my blog around Christmas as I have a pretty little add on for this kit that you won’t want to miss! It will go up the weekend before Christmas 🙂

And a few by me, I also used this kit to make our Christmas card this year 🙂
I modified this layout to be our card this year
I’ve been so excited to share this Flannel Friday since last winter when the Flannel Friday community first shared several flannel versions of the poem Rudolph, Rudolph.
My daughter received a greeting card last year with an LED light element to it that turned on when you squeezed the corner of the card. My husband (who is really good at finding random uses for LEDs – from lighting up my packing tape snowmen to glowing cat eyes on a Halloween costume) helped me pull the light out of the card and remove everything not essential to make it work.
I wrapped the light with red cellophane and was sure to keep the little
push button accessible to make the light turn on. I added a little velcro to the back so it would stick to Rudolph’s nose. It’s a huge hit at storytime!
What will you do?
You can’t guide Santa
If your nose is blue!
You’re such a silly fellow!
Who will know it’s you
If your nose is yellow!
Your way cannot be seen
Through the wintry weather
If your nose is green!
Santa gave a wink.
But what will Santa think
If your nose is pink!
It’s time to fly at night.
But you’re quite a sight
Cause your nose is white!
It’s time to go to town.
But Santa’s wearing a frown
Cause your nose is brown!
Santa has his sack.
But you’re not ready
If your nose is black!
The children are in bed.
And now I know you’re ready
Cause your nose is red!
